You can take advantage of the same proven BDE vibration isolator to replace the OE rubber mounts with direct replacement BDE Billet + Polyurethane mounts.
The BDE vibration isolator design is unique in that it 100% mechanically contains excessive movement in all directions with high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum construction and grade 10.9 hardware. The BDE design spreads the upward (tension) and downward (compression) forces over the entire flat surface area of the bushings which eliminates stress concentrations in the bushing material and prevents permanent deformation. The BDE design also preloads the Energy Suspension® polyurethane bushings to offset for any looseness that would occur from the weight of the engine/transmission – other aftermarket mount designs that lay the bushings on their side cannot be preloaded and will eventually destroy their bushings due to excessive stress concentration at the bushing ID.
In contrast, stock Nissan engine mounts are preloaded only by the weight of the engine/transmission sitting upon them. Unfortunately this leaves an enormous window for upward movement which eventually imparts a tensional force into the relatively weak rubber material and its bond to the mount’s metal shell. If allowed to continue, this will effectively fatigue the material and weaken it. Eventually the stock rubber will tear and the mount becomes useless at controlling engine movement.
