R35/VR38 Coil Mount Adapters for Z32/VG30DE(TT)
Coil Mount Base Kit, Available With or Without Pull-Ring Holes (coils not included)
The BDE coil mount base kit includes all parts and hardware to adapt six R35/VR38 or Z34/VQ37 coils (with mount tabs removed) into the stock coil locations on a Z32/VG30DE(TT) OE upper plenum. You will need to remove the spark plug boots off of your existing Z32/VG30 coils and install them onto the BDE coil mount assembly. This kit works with the OE plastic dust shields that protect the VG spark plugs from dirt and oil – BDE does not supply either OE VG spark plug boots or dust shields, if you don’t have these anymore, you will need to source these parts used.
Pull-Rings
The optional BDE pull-rings help make it easier to remove the coils. Works with BDE-6901 Coil Mount Base Kit.
Hitachi Coils
Hitachi is the OEM coil supplier for Nissan and their R35/VR38 coils which deliver 3 times the spark energy of the stock Z32/VG30 coils. When adding coils to the base kit, BDE will assemble the mounts onto the coils.
Already have a set of R35 or Z34 coils but don’t want to hassle with cutting off the tabs? Ship them to BDE and we’ll remove the tabs on our dedicated tooling AND assemble the mount kit onto them.
Electrical Connectors and Adapters
To simplify your installation as much as possible, BDE is offering plug-n-play coil adapter harnesses along with connector kits that allow you to build your own. We are also offering Z32 replacement engine harness coil connectors (PN: BDE-697) in case your current Z32 coil connectors have seen better days.
